CloseCircles

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

CloseCircles is a web and mobile app for trusted local communities and fitness communities. This policy explains what data CloseCircles collects, why it is used, and how users can control it.

Information we collect

Google Sign-In and OAuth scopes

When a user chooses Google Sign-In, CloseCircles requests only the minimum OAuth scopes needed to authenticate the account:

CloseCircles does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Photos, or any other Google service beyond these sign-in scopes. Google Sign-In data is used only for authentication, account setup, and access to CloseCircles features. It is not used for advertising or unrelated profiling.

Apple Sign-In

When a user chooses Apple Sign-In, CloseCircles uses the account identifier and email address Apple provides to create or match a CloseCircles account. Apple Sign-In data is used only for authentication, account setup, and account access.

Health and fitness sync

Fitness challenge health sync is optional. On supported mobile builds, users may choose to connect Apple Health or Android Health Connect for challenge progress. CloseCircles uses only calculated progress totals, such as step count or distance for a selected challenge. Raw health records are not stored on CloseCircles servers.

How data is used

Sharing and retention

CloseCircles does not sell personal data. Data is shared only when needed to operate the service, when users choose to share content with other users, or where required by law. Users can request account deletion through the app or the public account deletion page.
